I love the old fashioned interior, the watm welcome, and the professional service. Cuisine is all one can expect. My favorite pasta is the fettuccine bolognese. Salads are fresh and crisp, and cocktails are a generous pour.

Finally got to this restaurant! Kind of an old-school Italian spot, excellent traditional old world food. Had a bottle of wine, the Oysters Rockefeller which was amazing! My husband got the veal I orderesome pasta. The pasta was a little more al dente than I like and they gladly took it back and cooked it more. Enjoyed watching the people come and go in this lively environment. Waitress was a little gruff, she's been there many years knows everything, and let's you know it! I highly recommend going here!

The best eggplant parm my husband has ever had - and he's had a lot. Great service. Thanks, Chris. Old fashioned ambiance. Worth every penny.

This place is consistently superb! Their dishes are freshly prepared with the kind of care you would take. You can't beat the old school ambiance and service. My top pick for Italian in the capital region, hands down.

Love this place! Extremely reasonable price in a college town for amazing Italian food. Love their Escargot Maison, and Mugnaia Dishes- these are sublime and complement the seafood flavors perfectly. Their locally sourced table bread is also a nice touch. Great place, would definitely recommend.

I had the lasagna and my daughter had the eggplant Parmesan. Wine selection was amazing. Both meals were amazing, for our appetizers we shared the garlic butter clams. Our hostess waitress Sharyn was so pleasant and very informative. The ambience was very intimate very chill. Will definitely be back. Everything was so good I forgot to take pictures (that's a first) lol.

Been years since we've been back to LoPorto and it's as busy as it's ever been. No doubt because the food here continues to impress. Straight forward Italian classics here done well and at the right price. Only complaint is the aging decor and Formica bar. I also can't stand looking at that giant ugly coat rack. Thieve issues won't keep me away but still, it's dated, ugly, and does distract from the fine eating experience LoPorto can give you.

This was our first time here and the food was amazing. Great selection of Italian dishes and more. Our waitress was great she was cheerful and very helpful when it came down to the menu. She recommended the Veal Sorrentino but we asked if we could substitute chicken which was not listed on the menu but she said no problem. It was delicious. Others in our party order the calamari in a red sauce. They said the calamari was cooked perfectly. One in our party has gluten allergies and when she was ordering our waitress knew immediately that the sauce was not gluten free. The restaurant is located in one of the older buildings across from the old Palace Theatre in Troy. Parking is street parking only, which is tricky. But worth the hassle.
